10 Physics Based Games You Would Want To Play Right Now

We do encounter physics and gravity in our everyday lives, there is always a surprise if you see physics in video games. I could drop a ball on a plank of wood at any time in real life and watch the results, yet I’d probably be more willing to fork out for a full price game based on such a dynamic. In praise of this bizarre process, here’s a list of the top ten best physics based games.

10. Skate 3

The Skate series has always been a game about freestyle kick tricks and, the board physics have always been very impressive. The third game in the series perfected this element, but also added in some tasty rag doll physics. Though the physics weren’t the solid point of Skate 3, they were all well executed.

9. Trials HD

A lot of 2D games rely  upon physics, prompting us to believe that 2D physics engines are easier to develop and implement than their 3D counterparts. Games like Trials HD are still deserving of praise for their physics. Considering the difficulty of the game, you need to be able to master the physics of the bike and the environment if you hope to get anywhere in Trials HD.

8. Pain

Pain is Very  good example of rag doll physics at their best. The use of the Havok engine in this PSN title makes it great to play with endless amount of games that use Havok Physics, Pain revolves around catapulting a suicidal gent through the air, with points being awarded for maximum destruction. There wasn’t a whole lot to it, but it was satisfying.

7. Peggle

When a game is almost  about bouncing balls it has to make sure it has good physics. It also better make sure the physics are satisfying. I’m not sure whether it’s the physics themselves, the cartoon aesthetic or the bouncy sound effects, but Peggle is too addictive for its own good.

6. Little Big Planet 2

Little Big Planet needed to be able to accommodate creativity of its players. Because of this it needed to have impossibly amazing physics in order to let players really go to town with their creations. Little Big Planet 2 is even better at displaying the physics, with awesome physics that allows it to keep making awesome content.
