I have a very strange problem – I am playing the game on the lowest of settings, in window border less mode and multiplayer/snap map works pretty well, but there is something pretty peculiar in the campaign – I play with 60 FPS for about 15-20 minutes and then, all of a sudden, the game starts lagging like CRAZY !!! I thought it’s because of overheating, but I can’t feel the severe heat from my computer at all.
What is even more strange is that after I manage to turn the game off and then back on it still lags !!! O_O I haven’t ever seen anything like it !

I am having this exact same issue. I can run most games on Ultra but cannot run this on low

      • Limit Break

My rig is not even in the minimal settings – my video card is Nvidia GTX 660 while minimum req is 670, but the funny thing is if I use Razer Cortex (which speeds up performance) I manage to actually make the game work now. The trick is to use “speed up” option BEFORE launching the game and not making Razer Cortex launch WITH the launch of the game from the icon or Steam, because if you do that two different processes clash and DOOM may become unstable… I’m almost certain that this is what actually fixed it for me. Now I at least play without any crashes or slowdowns. May work for you…
My other implication is that the game may start lagging only in the first few levels of the game, but after Doom Slayer traverses hell through a portal which is opened by that crazy bitch it suddenly stops any lag… Dunno.
