US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is banning the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phone units from flights because of their faulty battery.
The FAA and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration are working on guidance related to this issue
they said in a statement.
If the device is recalled by the manufacturer, airline crew and passengers will not be able to bring recalled batteries or electronics that contain recalled batteries in the cabin of an aircraft, or in carry-on and checked baggage
in another statement they said.
The agency didn’t say anything about why this decision is being delayed but The FAA made it clear in their statements that this decision is solid, in some reports it is stated that it is because it is called Samsung phablet and this recall does not involve the US consumer product Safety Comission.
